The Lions have signed fourth-rounder OT Jason Fox.

Fox is expected to be groomed as a left tackle and should be a backup as a rookie behind Jeff Backus.

In PFW's 2010 Draft Preview, PFW personnel analyst Nolan Nawrocki wrote that Fox "will never be a bulldozer but has enough size, athletic ability and versatility" to become a "solid positional blocker."

The Lions also released WR Marko Mitchell, who was cut earlier in the offseason by the Redskins.
