The Saints formed a crowd at cornerback after spending their first-round pick on CB Patrick Robinson in April, and it looked like Robinson might have a hard time finding the field in 2010 because of the Saints' depth at the position. While Robinson, the last pick in the first round, should have a limited role in Year One, Malcolm Jenkins' move from corner to free safety cleared a spot for Robinson to take reps with the second-team defense and potentially play in some sub packages along with special-teams units in his first season. Observers have only seen Robinson in non-contact OTAs and minicamps since the draft, but initial reports suggested he performed well. Training camp will provide more clues as to how the Saints envision using Robinson this season, but with Jabari Greer and Tracy Porter entrenched as starters, Robinson will continue to get most of his reps with Randall Gay on the second unit.
