Scot McCloughan has landed with another NFC West team. Three months after resigning as general manager of the 49ers, McCloughan has been hired by the Seahawks.
McCloughan will reunite with new Seattle GM John Schneider, with whom he worked in Green Bay during the 1990s. With the title of senior personnel executive, McCloughan will assist Schneider and vice president of football operations Will Lewis in constructing the Seahawks' roster.
McCloughan abruptly resigned his position in San Francisco in March without explanation, after five years in the Niners' front office. Before that, he served as Seattle's director of college scouting from 2000 to 2005.
