The Panthers announced they have signed DE-OLB Eric Norwood.

Carolina selected Norwood in the fourth round of April's draft. Terms of his contract were not disclosed.

In PFW's 2010 Draft Preview, PFW personnel analyst Nolan Nawrocki wrote that Norwood is a "thickly built power-leverage rusher at his best pinning his ears back and rushing the quarterback."

Norwood, a South Carolina product, is the school's career sack leader (29).
