The Panthers announced they have signed one of the two quarterbacks they drafted in April.

QB Tony Pike, a sixth-round selection, signed a contract Tuesday. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Pike, a Cincinnati product, is the sixth of Carolina's 10 draft picks to sign. He is fourth on the depth chart at quarterback behind Matt Moore, Hunter Cantwell and fellow rookie Jimmy Clausen.

In PFW's 2010 Draft Preview, PFW personnel analyst Nolan Nawrocki wrote that Pike "lacks ideal intangibles and will require considerable development time in the pros."
