The Ravens have actively looked for veteran cornerbacks and safeties as the offseason winds down, signing former Seahawks CB Travis Fisher in May and ex-Cowboys S Ken Hamlin and ex-49ers CB Walt Harris in June. If nothing else, the Ravens needed bolstered DB depth entering training camp as CBs Fabian Washington and Lardarius Webb come back from knee injuries, starting FS Ed Reed recovers from hip surgery and reserve SS Haruki Nakamura comes back from a broken ankle. Hamlin has 96 career starts and three seasons of three interceptions or more to his credit but has struggled somewhat in deep coverage the past two years. The hope is that the Ravens will go into Week One with the same four starting defensive backs they had last season (Reed and Dawan Landry at safety, Washington and Domonique Foxworth at cornerback).
