Titans DE Derrick Morgan, the club's first-round pick, was arrested Wednesday night in Resaca, Ga. on speeding and suspended-license charges, The (Nashville) Tennessean reported Thursday.
Morgan, 21, was pulled over when driving 91 mph in a 70-mph zone after 5 p.m. ET Wednesday, Gordon (Ga.) County police officer Raymond Holcomb told The Tennessean. Morgan was released from jail after bond was posted about three hours later, Holcomb told the newspaper.
Per The Tennessean, Morgan, who was driving back to attend the Titans' Thursday minicamp practice, has a court date on July 26.
Morgan, who played collegiately at Georgia Tech, missed time in May with a hamstring injury and has been limited this week with a calf injury. Neither injury is regarded as serious. "I think he will be at full speed by next week," Titans head coach Jeff Fisher told Nashville reporters earlier this week.
