The Bengals released veteran CB Keiwan Ratliff and four other players on Friday.
Ratliff, 28, played nine games for Pittsburgh last season. The Steelers released him in November. He signed with the Bengals on Jan. 4 and was on their roster for the wild-card game vs. the Jets, but he did not play.
Ratliff, who's in his seventh NFL season, was a second-round pick of the Bengals in 2004 and played for Cincinnati from 2004-07.
The Bengals also released RB Walter Mendenhall, CB DeAngelo Willingham, S Bryan Evans and P Jake Richardson.
