Titans agree with rookie QB Smith

The Titans have agreed on a multiyear contract with QB Rusty Smith, a sixth-round pick, the club announced Thursday.

Smith, 23, threw for 10,112 yards and 76 TDs in four seasons at Florida Atlantic. He was limited to seven games as a senior becaue of an injury to his non-throwing shoulder. The 6-5, 226-pound Smith will vie for one of the reserve roles behind starter Vince Young with Kerry Collins and Chris Simms.

The Titans have signed five of their nine draft picks this week.
