The Vikings have signed RB Ryan Moats to join their crowded running back situation.

Moats, a six-year veteran, led the Texans in rushing TDs last season with four, and he was second to Steve Slaton in carries (101) and rushing yards (390).

Adrian Peterson and second-round pick Toby Gerhart are the top two backs, but a host of other players are vying for the other reserve roles: Moats, Albert Young, Darius Reynaud and Ian Johnson among them.
