Saints SS Roman Harper will avoid having his restricted free-agent tender offer reduced, according to PFW correspondent Mike Triplett, a beat writer for the New Orleans Times-Picayune.
Citing a "league source," the report indicates Harper has agreed to the $2.521 million deal and will likely sign the tender Tuesday. The Saints could have reduced to his offer to 110 percent of his salary in 2009, which would have resulted in a nearly $2 million pay cut.
The fifth-year veteran made a career-high 102 tackles last season and has started at least 15 games in each of the past three seasons.
