Vikings DE Ray Edwards signed his one-year, $2.5 million restricted free-agent tender.

Edwards, 25, had his best season as a pro in 2009, finishing strong down the stretch with four sacks in two playoff games along with 8½ in the regular season.

The Vikings also announced the signing of 2010 fifth-round LB Nate Triplett and the release of five players: C Eddie Adamski, OTs Matt Hanson and Marlon Winn, RB James Johnson, WR eceiver Aaron Rhea and CB Angelo Williams.
