The Redskins have signed restricted free-agent LB Rocky McIntosh to a one-year, $1.759 million contract.

The team also has announced it has released PK Justin Medlock, who was in a competition with Graham Gano for kicking duties, and OL Paul Fanaika.

McIntosh played in 16 games last season, setting a career high with 115 tackles, which placed second on the team. He’s projected as an inside linebacker in the team’s new 3-4 scheme.
