The Buccaneers announced they signed third-round pick Myron Lewis to a four-year contract on Monday.

Lewis, the 67th overall pick, is expected to compete for the nickel cornerback job and could eventually replace Ronde Barber as the starter in the base defense. Lewis played in 46 games during his career at Vanderbilt and made 170 tackles to go along with 10 interceptions, which tied for the ninth-most in school history.

In PFW's 2010 Draft Preview, personnel analyst Nolan Nawrocki wrote that Lewis has "the type of length, speed and natural ball skills coveted at the next level, though some teams could be turned off by his finesse playing style."
