Former Panthers and Bears WR Muhsin Muhammad announced his retirement Thursday.

Muhammad, 37, spent 11 of his 14 NFL seasons in Carolina and finishes with 860 career catches. He racked up 11,438 receiving yards, scored 62 touchdowns and drew praise for his willingness to block. He was very durable, playing in at least 13 games in all but two seasons.

The Michigan State product signed with the Bears in 2005 and spent three seasons in Chicago before returning to the Panthers.
