The Falcons signed third-round pick Corey Peters on Tuesday, the team announced. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Peters, a 6-3, 305-pound defensive tackle, was the 83rd overall pick. He started on Kentucky's defensive line in each of his last three seasons and will be involved in Atlanta's rotation on the interior D-line.
In PFW's 2010 Draft Preview, personnel analyst Nolan Nawrocki wrote that Peters "elevated his standing with a solid senior season, but is not overly strong or athletic and does not have outstanding traits."
