The Jets signed fifth-round pick FB John Conner to a four-year deal, according to a New York Daily News report.
Conner's deal is worth $1.99 million, and up to $740,000 is available in escalators, per the report.
The Kentucky product is expected to replace 38-year-old Tony Richardson when Richardson retires, which could come at the end of this season.
In PFW's 2010 Draft Preview, personnel analyst Nolan Nawrocki wrote that Conner is a "hardworking overachiever who can fill a role as a traditional isolation-lead blocker and bring extra value on special teams."
