The Bills announced Thursday that they have signed LB Danny Batten, one of their two sixth-round selections in the 2010 draft. In accordance with team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Batten, the 192nd overall pick, started 45-of-46 games at South Dakota State, recording 274 tackles (115 solo) with 23 sacks. A collegiate defensive end, he was an All-Missouri Valley Conference first-team selection and co-Defensive Player of the Year in 2009.

In PFW's 2010 Draft Preview, personnel analyst Nolan Nawrocki wrote that the 6-3, 254-pound Batten "is quick-handed and can rip off blocks" but "lacks bulk strength to stack the line" and "gets erased by the double-team."

Batten is the second of the Bills’ nine draft picks to sign with the team after fifth-round OT Ed Wang agreed to terms last week.
