The brother of Giants DE Mathias Kiwanuka was critically injured Friday in Indianapolis when his motorcycle struck a car.

The brothers were riding their motorcycles at high speeds on the northwest side of Indianapolis, according to police, when a car pulled out of a parking lot and 32-year-old Benedict Kiwanuka's motorcycle struck it. After being thrown 100 feet, Benedict was taken to a hospital in critical condition.

Mathias, who was riding a separate motorcycle, avoided the car and escaped injury.

A first-round pick by the Giants in 2006, Mathias Kiwanuka is an Indianapolis and owns a home there, according to the Newark Star-Ledger.
