WR Taylor Price, the 90th overall pick in April’s draft, became the highest selection to sign a contract this year when he came to terms with the Patriots.

Sources have told PFW that the third-rounder signed a four-year deal worth $3.35 million with a signing bonus of $704,600.

Price joins a crowded WR rotation in New England, though one with questions. Wes Welker and Brandon Tate are coming off season-ending knee injuries, and Torry Holt and David Patten both will be over 35 when the season begins.

At Ohio University, Price set a school mark with 149 receptions and ranks second in Bobcats history with 2,019 career receiving yards.

In PFW's 2010 Draft Preview, personnel analyst Nolan Nawrocki wrote that the 6-0, 204-pound Price is “well put together” and “shows the ability to separate vertically” but that he “shows some tightness in his hips” and is “not sudden.”
