The Jaguars acquired OG Justin Smiley in a trade with the Dolphins, according to a report. The compensation sent to the Dolphins is not yet known.

Profootballtalk.com reports the trade will not be finalized until Smiley, who has been plagued by shoulder injuries, passes a physical.

The interior of the offensive line was a weakness for the Jaguars in 2009. David Garrard was sacked 44 times and hit far more than any quarterback in the league (126).

If Smiley passes his physical, C Brad Meester's future with the club could be in jeopardy. Meester, who is entering his 11th season and is currently the longest-tenured Jaguar, struggled in '09. OG Uche Nwaneri took snaps at center during the team's minicamp, and Smiley or veteran Kynan Forney could fill Nwaneri's spot, making Meester the odd man out.
