The Dolphins signed OL Cory Procter on Monday after trading OG Justin Smiley to the Jaguars for a conditional late-round pick.
Procter, who can play center and guard, joins a crowded field of interior O-linemen battling for starting spots.
The sixth-year veteran spent the first five seasons of his career with the Cowboys and played for Dolphins head coach Tony Sparano when he coached Dallas' offensive line.
Procter reportedly visited with the Patriots and Broncos, as well as the Dolphins, last week.
