The Saints have come to an agreement with former Jaguars LB Clint Ingram on a one-year contract, New Orleans GM Mickey Loomis announced Wednesday. Loomis provided no contract details.
Ingram had played his entire four-year career with Jacksonville, making 46 starts. In 13 games (12 starts) with the Jaguars last season, he made 52 tackles, seventh on the team, along with one sack and one fumble recovery. But team sources figured he'd lose the battle for a starting OLB job to Justin Durant.
Jacksonville initially tendered Ingram as a restricted free agent at $1.266 million, the original draft-round level (third), but the Jaguars rescinded the tender April 26 after he declined to sign it.
