Dolphins head coach Tony Sparano revealed WR Brandon Marshall underwent a "routine procedure" and could miss the rest of organized team activities.
Sparano's statement came Wednesday after the team completed an OTA session.
"It's going to take some time right now," Sparano told the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. "We'll see where it is. The process is getting better right now each day, so we'll see where it goes. I don't know whether or not (Marshall will) participate in any OTA's."
Sparano did not reveal what part of Marshall's body was operated on, but he did say the team wasn't expecting surgery to be necessary when it traded for him earlier this offseason.
