The Texans announced the signing of RS-WR Trindon Holliday on Tuesday. Terms were not disclosed, but ESPN.com and The Houston Chronicle have reported the contract is for four seasons. Holliday is the first draft pick to sign with his club, according to the Texans.
Holliday, 24, is the defending NCAA track champion in the 100 meters. On the football field he averaged 18.1 yards on punt returns in 2009.
In PFW's 2010 Draft Preview, personnel analyst Nolan Nawrocki wrote that the 5-5, 166-pound Holliday "pulls away from the pack like he's shot out of a cannon" but has "(marginal) run strength and tackle-breaking ability."
