The Seahawks added another quarterback to their stable Tuesday, signing former first-round draft choice J.P. Losman, according to an NFL Network report.
Losman joins projected starter Matt Hasselbeck, offseason acquisition Charlie Whitehurst and second-year man Mike Teel as quarterbacks on Seattle's depth chart.
Losman threw only one pass in a late-season stint with Oakland last season. Prior to signing with the Raiders, he had led the Las Vegas Locomotives to a 5-2 record and a league championship in the UFL's first season.
Losman spent his first five seasons in Buffalo after the Bills made him the 22nd pick in the first round of the 2004 draft. He started 33 games in Buffalo, including all 16 in 2006, when he compiled an 84.9 passer rating and a 19-14 TD-INT ratio as the Bills went 7-9.
