The Broncos are seriously considering adding another running back to play behind second-year RB Knowshon Moreno, we hear. Former Eagles RB Brian Westbrook visited Denver on Thursday after meeting with the Redskins earlier this week. Some observers are skeptical about the chances of Westbrook signing with the Broncos, and the role he would play in a backfield that already features Moreno, Correll Buckhalter and J.J. Arrington is far from clear. Head coach Josh McDaniels has not shied away from signing veteran free agents who come from winning organizations, though, and likely wouldn't have met with Westbrook if he didn't have a role in mind for him. Sources don't expect the Broncos to break up their 1-2 punch of Moreno and Buckhalter, and Arrington is a candidate to return kickoffs. Westbrook, who was sidelined by concussions for eight games last season, could contribute as a third-down back.
