Buccaneers RB Cadillac Williams signed his restricted free-agent tender Wednesday, the team has announced.

Tampa Bay assigned an original-pick tender to Williams before free agency began.

Williams, a first-round pick in 2005, led the Bucs in rushing last season. He rushed 211 times for 823 yards and four touchdowns and also made 28 catches for 217 yards and three TDs.

He tore the patellar tendon in one knee in ’07, only to tear the patellar tendon in the other knee in ’08, but made a stunning recovery from the serious injuries.
