The Texans and veteran LB Danny Clark have agreed to terms on a contract, The Houston Chronicle reported Tuesday.
The 33-year-old Clark bolsters the Texans' options at strong-side linebacker as Brian Cushing serves a four-game suspension for violating the NFL's policy on anabolic steroids and related substances. This will be Clark's second stint with Houston. He played in 13 games (eight starts) for the Texans in 2007, notching 51 tackles.
The 6-foot-2, 245-pound Clark played in 16 games for the Giants in 2009, notching 11 starts. He recorded 53 tackles and two sacks.
In addition to previous stints with the Giants (2008-09) and Texans, Clark has played for the Jaguars (2000-03), Raiders (2004-05) and Saints (2006).
