The Bengals and CB Adam "Pacman" Jones have agreed to a two-year deal, The Cincinnati Enquirer and NFL Network reported Thursday. Both media outlets reported that Jones will sign his contract Monday and join the club for offseason workouts.

Jones, 26, will contend for a reserve role on defense and could compete to return kickoffs and punts for the Bengals, who twice worked him out in the offseason before deciding to sign him.

A first-round pick of the Titans in 2005, Jones has had a promising career sidetracked by off-field problems. He was suspended for the entire 2007 season after violating the NFL's personal-conduct policy. The Titans traded him to Dallas in 2008, where he drew another six-game ban after an altercation with a security guard the team provided for him.

Jones played in nine games for Dallas in 2008, starting six. He notched 31 tackles and defended seven passes. He returned 21 punts for 95 yards (4.5 avg.) and seven kickoffs for 155 yards.
