Cardinals sign veteran CB Miller

The Cardinals added some depth on the corners Monday with the signing of free-agent CB Justin Miller to a one-year contract. Terms of the deal with Miller, who also could be added to the team’s mix as a kick returner, were not disclosed.
 
The 5-11, 190-pound Miller is a five-year NFL veteran who began his career with the Jets in 2005. He was selected to the Pro Bowl in ’06 as a returner after leading the NFL with a 28.3-yard kickoff-return average. Miller played in one game with the Jets and one game with the Raiders last season after spending training camp with Oakland.
 
Originally a second-round selection (57th overall) of the Jets in the ’05 NFL draft out of Clemson, Miller spent his first three seasons (2005-07) in New York before being released in ’08 and claimed by the Raiders. In 2005-06, Miller appeared in all 32 games and had 12 starts at cornerback. For his career, Miller has played in 43 games (12 starts) and has 101 tackles (87 solos) to go along with 152 kickoff returns for 3,966 yards (26.0-yard average) and five touchdowns.
