Looking to further diversify their backfield, the Seahawks have obtained veteran RB LenDale White from the Titans, reuniting the fifth-year running back with Pete Carroll, White’s coach at USC.
The Titans picked up Seattle’s first fourth-round pick (No. 104), as well as the 176th overall pick, in exchange for the 111th and 185th picks and DT Kevin Vickerson.
White, who has had weight problems in the past and played second fiddle to Chris Johnson, had been hoping to be traded, and he could be an interesting fit in Seattle, offering a contrasting style to Seattle RBs Julius Jones and Justin Forsett.
It would appear Carroll is in the process of putting together the same kind of running attack with a lot of rotating backs that he used at USC. Vickerson adds depth behind starting Seattle DTs Colin Cole and Brandon Mebane.
