Saints add even more depth at corner by drafting Robinson

The Saints concluded the first round by taking Florida State CB Patrick Robinson. This is the second consecutive year New Orleans has used its first-round pick on a cornerback, and at first glance it doesn't fill any of its needs.

However, there still is an outside chance last year's first-round pick, CB Malcolm Jenkins, could move over to free safety if free agent Darren Sharper signs elsewhere. In that scenario, Robinson would compete with Randall Gay for the nickel back job. Tracy Porter and Jabari Greer are entrenched as the starters.

Either way, the Saints have gone from one of the most shallow CB corps to one of the deepest in the past year. Robinson is ultra-athletic and has good size, although some scouts have questioned his discipline and mental toughness.
