Raiders OLG Robert Gallery has been the subject of much criticism in his career, but durability was not a problem for him, as he only missed significant playing time in one of his first five seasons. In the span of a few months last year, however, he underwent an emergency appendectomy, broke his fibula and had to undergo back surgery to fuse vertebra, widen the spinal canal and clean out calcium deposits. The series of ailments caused him to sit out 10 games and the Raiders missed Gallery, who some consider to be the club's best offensive lineman. While serious back injuries can be difficult to return from, word is Gallery's rehab is going well and he's planning on participating in training camp. Oakland re-signed Langston Walker, who filled in for Gallery at times last season, and C-OG Chris Morris is still on the roster to provide depth in case Gallery encounters any setbacks or can't shake the health issues next season.
