Will veteran CB Al Harris, who is on the mend from a horrendous injury to his left knee, be back in time for Week One of the regular season or not? For what it's worth, Harris is telling team insiders that he has every intention of being in the starting lineup when Green Bay opens the season at Philadelphia. The inclination among our team sources is to take a player who routinely does 500 push-ups and 1,000 sit-ups a day at his word. At the same time, the rumor that Harris is a strong candidate for the Physically Unable to Perform list, which would keep him on the sideline for the team's first six games, refuses to die. Packers head coach Mike McCarthy unintentionally fueled the rumor when he indicated last month that the 35-year-old Harris quite possibly could follow in the footsteps of ORT Mark Tauscher, who wasn't able to begin practicing following his knee surgery until a month into the 2009 campaign.
