Buccaneers MLB Barrett Ruud signed his restricted free-agent tender Wednesday, the team announced. The one-year deal is for $3.268 million.

Ruud, a sixth-year veteran, made a career-high 142 tackles last season. He's made at least 114 tackles in each of the past three seasons and is considered Tampa Bay's most valuable defender.

CB Elbert Mack, who made three interceptions in 2009, also signed his tender Wednesday. The nickel back played in 15 games last season and made three starts.
