Former Dolphins OLB Jason Taylor will sign a one-year deal with the Jets as early as Wednesday, Taylor's agent, Gary Wichard, told the Miami Herald. While the exact terms of the contract may not be finalized, the Herald reports the contract is essentially for one year and will be worth up to $4 million with incentives.
Taylor, the NFL's active sack leader, reportedly will meet with Jets officials Wednesday morning.
Taylor was interested in re-signing with the Dolphins, but they did not offer him a contract and committed to waiting until after the draft to negotiate with him.
