At the Ravens' predraft press conference, general manager Ozzie Newsome said he had not had any "dialogue" with teams about OLT Jared Gaither, a restricted free agent. Newsome, speaking to Baltimore reporters, left the impression that he would listen on trade offers for the 6-9, 340-pound tackle, but that those offers would have to be strong. "The way (head coach John Harbaugh) and I go about building this team, we look at it and say, 'These are our players, and up until someone comes and offers something that is really, really enticing, then these are our players and these are the ones that they are preparing to get ready to play in September,' " he said. Should the Ravens keep Gaither, they will keep together one of the league's more promising tackle tandems; ORT Michael Oher has a bright future, and Gaither is just 24 years old. Already a solid starter, and with his best seasons perhaps ahead of him, the Ravens aren't under pressure to take just any offer for Gaither.
