Broncos TE Tony Scheffler will sign his restricted free-agent tender Wednesday and could be headed to another team before long, according to a Denver Post report.
Scheffler had a falling-out with head coach Josh McDaniels late last season, and the Post reports Denver is hoping to receive a third-round pick in return from the team that deals for the 27-year-old.
McDaniels' offense doesn't utilize the tight end as a receiver much, and Scheffler, a pass-catching tight end, was unhappy with his role last season.
