The Saints locked up a key backup on their offensive line Monday.

Restricted free-agent OT Zach Strief signed his one-year, $1.759 million tender, reports indicate.

Strief, a fifth-year veteran, is versatile and can play either tackle spot or even step in as a blocking tight end in certain situations. He started a career-high two games last season.
