A man has taken responsibility for throwing a glass at a woman in an Orlando, Fla., nightclub, according to the attorney for Steelers WR Santonio Holmes, who was originally charged in the case.

The man reportedly told an investigator that he threw the glass because the woman was attacking Holmes. According to reports, this is the same man initially identified by the victim's friends as the person who threw the glass.

"This is extortion in its purest form," said Adam Swickle, Holmes' lawyer, referring to a lawsuit filed by the woman against his client.

Anshonae Mills filed suit against Holmes last month, claiming he threw the glass at her, cutting her above the eye. The suit claimed that she failed to press charges because she had been intimidated by Holmes and a police officer. When she recently changed her mind and decided to press charges, Orlando police reopened the case.
