Multiple media outlets are reporting that the Redskins have signed veteran RB Willie Parker to a one-year deal. If he reaches all of the incentives, the deal reportedly could be worth up to $3.1 million.
Parker, who has played all six NFL seasons with the Steelers, joins a crowded backfield that also includes incumbent starter Clinton Portis and fellow free-agent signee Larry Johnson.
Parker, 29, rushed for 1,000-plus yards from 2005-07, twice reaching the Pro Bowl. He lost his starting job to Rashard Mendenhall last season and finished with 389 yards on 98 carries with zero touchdowns.
