The Cardinals announced Friday that they have signed PK Jay Feely to a two-year deal. Terms were undisclosed.

Feely, a nine-year veteran who was unable to come to terms with the Jets in free agency, replaces unrestricted free agent Neil Rackers as the Arizona placekicker.

In his second season with the Jets, Feely made 30-of-36 field-goal attempts, including a 55-yarder, and was a perfect 32-for-32 in point-after attempts. The Jets had asked the 33-year-old Feely to take a pay cut despite his strong season, which eventually created an impasse.

Rackers also appeared to have fallen out of favor with the Cardinals despite missing only one field goal (16-of-17) in the regular season. The Cardinals were unhappy that he was less than forthcoming about a groin injury first suffered Nov. 22.

Prior to joining the Jets, Feely was cut by Miami after a 2007 season in which he made 21-of-23 FG attempts. He spent two years with the Giants and spent his first four seasons in the league in Atlanta.
