The Eagles announced Wednesday that they have signed LB Omar Gaither to a one-year contract. Gaither, who had been a restricted free agent, signed his tender offer.
Gaither, who has spent all four of his NFL seasons in Philadelphia after being a fifth-round selection of the Eagles in the ’06 draft, has played both inside and outside linebacker for the team. He had 38 tackles and 1½ sacks in five games in 2009 before being lost for the season with a Lisfranc injury.

The 26-year-old has played in 53 regular-season games, with 34 career starts.
