The Titans and former Falcons and Rams CB Tye Hill agreed to a one-year deal on Tuesday, ESPN reported.
Hill played eight games for the Falcons last season, starting three. He made seven tackles and intercepted one pass, which he returned for a touchdown.
The 27-year-old Hill was a first-round pick of the Rams in 2006, but he failed to make much of an impact in three seasons in St. Louis, missing significant stretches of the 2007 and '08 seasons with injuries. He has made 24 starts and has intercepted five passes.
Hill could compete for a starting role with the Titans. Their starting left cornerback from a season ago, Nick Harper, is an unrestricted free agent. Rod Hood, Jason McCourty and Ryan Mouton also figure to be in the mix for the LCB job.
