The Seahawks announced Monday that they have signed special-teams ace Sean Morey to a multiyear contract.

A key contributor on punt and kickoff coverage, Morey was selected as an alternate for the Pro Bowl in 2009 after recording 19 special-teams tackles. The 34-year-old was named to the 2008 Pro Bowl after leading Arizona with 22 special-teams tackles.

He has led his team in special teams tackles five times in seven full NFL seasons.

Morey comes to Seattle after spending three seasons with the Cardinals. He has played in 109 career games, with 11 catches for 168 yards in limited duty as a wide receiver. He also has collected 151 special-teams tackles over that span.
