Owner Jerry Jones spoke to a small group of media at the NFL's spring meetings and indicated that RB Felix Jones will get every chance to start next season. Jerry Jones certainly didn't guarantee that Marion Barber would not be the first option, but this indication falls in line with everything we have heard since the end of the season. Felix Jones came alive at season's end, averaging 6.7 yards a carry in the final four games (including two playoff games) and becoming more involved as a receiver. His biggest issue has been staying healthy, though there also had been more of a sentiment previously to start Barber and have Jones be more of a change-of-pace back. That appears to be changing. Although Barber carries a heavy salary of nearly $8 million this season, including a $4 million roster bonus, it appears that he is slowly being phased out somewhat and that Jones and Tashard Choice will be getting more of the action. Choice has said he would like more work and that he would accept a trade if it meant getting that action, though the team has no plans of trading him.
