Falcons RB Michael Turner is participating in the team's voluntary conditioning program after missing five games last season with an ankle sprain and is apparently close to 100 percent. After spraining his ankle Nov. 15, Turner was back in the lineup two weeks later and aggravated the injury — he only had one carry the rest of the season. Turner is still the workhorse in the backfield, but head coach Mike Smith has said he doesn't want to wear him out and will monitor his carries closely. The seventh-year back will share carries with RBs Jerious Norwood and Jason Snelling again in 2010. Norwood and Snelling were both tendered as restricted free agents and are expected to sign those tenders. While Norwood has durability concerns of his own, Snelling, who had 10 carries or more in seven games last season, could be more involved to take some of the burden off Turner.
