The Saints have decided not to match the Eagles' offer to restricted free-agent RB Mike Bell, allowing him to join Philadelphia.
The Eagles had made a one-year, $1.7 million offer to Bell, which New Orleans could have matched until midnight Tuesday. But Saints spokesman Greg Bensel told The Associated Press in an e-mail that the Super Bowl champions would not match the offer.
The Saints had tendered Bell at the lowest level, $1.176 million, and because he was undrafted, they receive no compensation from Philadelphia as a result of losing him.
