The Dolphins re-signed WR Davone Bess, PK Dan Carpenter and TE Joey Haynos to one-year contracts this week, The South Florida Sun-Sentinel reported Saturday. All three players were exclusive-rights free agents.
Carpenter hit 25-of-28 field goals and averaged 63.6 yards on kickoffs in 2009. He was named to the Pro Bowl when Chargers PK Nate Kaeding pulled out of the game with a groin injury.
A reliable possession receiver, Bess, 24, led the Dolphins with 76 catches and 758 yards receiving last season.
The 6-foot-8, 270-pound Haynos started eight games for Miami last season. The 24-year-old Maryland product caught 19 passes for 162 yards and two touchdowns.
